How to Get Permanent Lip Liner
Permanent makeup is a cosmetic technique that uses tattoos to resemble makeup for people who don't want to apply makeup on a daily basis. It's especially good for those with health problems such as arthritis, Parkinson's disease or stroke, whose hands may be unsteady, making it difficult to apply makeup. Permanent makeup can color and form eyebrows, eyeliner, eyelashes, lip liner and even lip color. Lip liner is especially popular. Does this Spark an idea?

1
Find an esthetician who has a license to perform permanent makeup procedures. Some dermatologists and plastic surgeons may also perform the procedure.
-
2
Ask to see previous clients' before and after pictures. Check whether the lip liner is even and straight. Also look at the eyeliner and eyebrows to check their accuracy and evenness.

-
3
Expect some pain. If you have ever had a tattoo, the pain will be similar. Topical anesthetics are used to numb the area, but you will feel a pricking sensation.
-
4
Allow enough time for the procedure and expect at least one follow up visit. Lip liner may take anywhere from one to two hours. The follow-up visit is generally four to six weeks later to perfect the lines and color.
-
5
Use ice to help with the swelling that occurs after the procedure. The swelling should diminish within 24 to 48 hours.
-
6
Expect to need additional maintenance if you spend a lot of time in the sun or use a tanning booth. Smoking and dry skin are other factors that may cause the lines to fade.
