If you are not independently wealthy, the chances are that you need to get paid. Luckily, there are just about as many ways to get paid as there ideas on how to make money. If you are like most people, here are a few fundamental ways to get paid.

1. Provide a service. If you can provide a service, someone in need of your service will pay for it. This could be cleaning houses, mowing yards, babysitting, dog walking or any other service you can imagine.

2. Sell a product. You can develop your own product to wholesale or retail. Or you can buy a product at wholesale and retail it to the public. As long as you sell the item for more than it cost you, you get paid.

3. Be the favorite. A wealthy relative may be a great way to get money. You will have to invest time and energy to ensure that you are the favorite relative. If you play your cards right you should be a beneficiary of the will. From there, it is just a matter of waiting to get paid.

4. Have a talent. If you have a talent that entertains people you can use it to get paid. Common examples of this are the street musicians who set out a cup and perform. Look for other areas to display your talent. These can include subways, churches or in malls.

5. Get a job. Of course, the most tried and true method of getting paid is to get a job. You do the job requirements and in return you get paid a wage. If you do a good job, you may even get a raise.
