When you prepare for the LSAT it is very important to take as many practice tests as you can. You will also need to learn some tips and approaches to questions to help you maximize your speed and accuracy on the actual test. There are several options available in guides to studying for the LSAT.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Step1
Read reviews of the various guides available to help you prepare for the LSAT. You can find the guides and any consumer reviews of them at book selling websites like Amazon.com or Barnes and Noble on the web.
Step2
Think about previous standardized tests you have taken and whether any particular strategies worked for you or perhaps didn't work for you.
Step3
Consider the reviews you've read of the guide and your approach to studying.
Step4
Pick 3 or 4 guides that you think may be helpful to you.
Step5
Go to a bookstore and take a look at 3 or 4 study guides you think would be helpful. Or, if you trust the reviews enough, buy 2 or 3 of the study guides from the online bookseller.
Step6
Make sure the study guide or combination of study guides you buy contain many practice questions, preferably actual LSAT questions, explanations of answers to test questions and tips and strategies on how to approach different question types.
Step7
Open the book or books you buy, study and do the test questions to verify your knowledge and prepare for the LSAT.

Tips & Warnings

  • Also consider taking a LSAT test preparation course if you want to optimize your score.
  • If a friend or family member has taken the LSAT, also ask that person what study guide she used to prepare.
