So, you want to be a badass, but your efforts have only resulted in your friends laughing at you. In fact, puppies are more intimidated by their chew toys than they are of you. We've all seen the movies with the typical American badass. He dresses in black, acts tough and drives a badass car. So, is this what you're supposed to do to become a badass? Not necessarily.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Understand that being a badass is not an act. It's a way of life. It's an attitude that doesn't disappear at the end of the day.

  2. Step 2

Learn about control. A badass is someone who controls the situation, whether the situation is a bar fight or spilled juice at a five year old kid's birthday party. A badass understands how to control their behaviors and reactions, as well as their surroundings. That calm sense of control is what makes them seem so awesome when everything else is out of control.

  3. Step 3

Be brutally honest. A badass doesn't lie because a badass doesn't have to lie.

  4. Step 4

Forget about society's rules and conventions. As a badass, you don't feel the need to do something just because everyone else does it. You wear the clothes you want to wear. You style your hair the way you want it to look. You drive the car you like, not what everyone else thinks is cool. Your utter obliviousness to other peoples' opinions makes you so badass.

  5. Step 5

Keep a soft spot in your heart for the weak. A badass protects those who can't protect themselves. You know--old ladies, little kids, puppies--you get the idea. Save the tough guy act for the people that deserve it.

Tips & Warnings
  • Don't brag to others that you're a badass. A real badass doesn't need to advertise the fact that they kick ass.

on 10/11/2007 The ideology of a true Badass. He lives to protect those that give him reason for living. He will do what ever it takes to protect those important to him even it if means breaking society's rules or conventional laws. He will always be building himself up to be a stronger person because he will always feel inadequate. He will always wants to always become stronger and more powerful so that he is capable of protecting those important to him.

That is a True Badass. Examples:
Spartans 300 King Leonados Fight for those they love and to protect them even if it means going against the congress men's wishes.
Spiderman protect the city but evade police.

on 10/7/2007 Well being a badass has its good and bad sides, you to what you believe is right and you don't care what everyone else thinks. When your right Awesome, but when your wrong you could hurt some one or lose a friend. So beware of the ups and downs of being a badass before you choose to follow it.
