Instructions

    • 1

Buy "blank" paperweights at any craft store, such as Michael's or Jo-Ann Stores. These are clear half globes made of glass with a cavity inside to fill.

    • 2

Copy a favorite picture on a color copier or print out a photo from your computer printer and center the globe on top of the subject.

    • 3

Trace around the bottom of the paperweight to encircle the subject of the photo. Cut out the photo just smaller than the area circled to fit just inside the paperweight's lip.

    • 4

Apply a small amount of white glue to the bottom of the photo paperweight and affix the picture, photo side up, to the bottom of the globe.

    • 5

Spread another coat of glue across the back of the picture and squeeze out any excess glue with the brush. Start at the center of the picture and push the brush towards the edges to remove air bubbles.

    • 6

Let dry completely and then apply a small cut out area of felt to the bottom of the photo paperweight to prevent slipping.

Tips & Warnings

  • Add small beads or shells to the outside edge of the photo paperweight for a special touch.

  • Layer several photos or pictures in a collage style for another great look.

  • Wear gloves to keep glue from hands.
