If you want to transfer large file systems across the internet safely, efficiently and reliably, using the BitTorrent search engine system is your best option. To download a large file like a video game, your client detects other computers across the network that have the files you want. The protocol enables simultaneous transfer from many sources requiring little bandwidth. The process is coordinated by computers in the network called "trackers."

Things You'll Need:

  • BitTorrent client software
  • Paid subscription to BitTorrent service
  1. Step 1

Subscribe to a BitTorrent organization that is licensed to distribute material. This way you do not run the risk of violating copyright regulations. One recommendation is the BitTorrent website. In addition to offering movie, music and game torrents, it is also good for free and open source software.

  2. Step 2

Find a BitTorrent client that you can download. You can go to a search engine like Google and enter "bittorrent+client". Make sure that the client is easy to install, friendly to use and ties up only few system resources.

  3. Step 3

Save the downloaded BitTorrent client files in a convenient folder.

  4. Step 4

Install the client you downloaded by using the "Add New Programs" feature in the "Control Panel." Select "CD or Floppy" and browse for the ".exe" file that you saved in Step 2. Press "Open" and follow the rest of the steps until you hit "Finish."

  5. Step 5

Begin downloading torrent files now that your client is installed. You will have a choice of many search engine websites. One of the better ones is the BitTorrent website engine.
