Instructions

    • 1

Identify that the surface is vinyl as opposed to cement fiber, aluminum siding or even painted wood. These are porous materials that require an entirely different approach to cleaning.

    • 2

Use a long handled brush with soft bristles or a soft cloth to prevent smearing of stains into the vinyl siding textures surface.

    • 3

Prepare a solution of three parts water to one part chlorine bleach in a large bucket. Liquid soap, Fantastik® or Simple Green® may be substituted for tougher stains. Spot check the cleaner of choice in an inconspicuous area first to determine if it is best for the job.

    • 4

Clean the vinyl siding from bottom to top. This prevents streaking and running of stains.

    • 5

Rinse the entire side of the project from the top down. If there is brick facing around the base of the vinyl siding, cover with sheeting to prevent any cleaning materials from staining the brick.

Tips & Warnings
