Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Eight juice pouches
  • Sewing machine
  • Craft scissors
  • Ruler
  • Thread
  • Ribbon
  • Embellishments
  1. Step 1

Purchase a box of 10 juice pouches. Buy the juice pouches that are made from a foil and plastic like material.

  2. Step 2

Empty the juice pouches by drinking them or just draining the juice in the sink. Make a slit in the bottom of each pouch.

  3. Step 3

Rinse each pouch with warm water. Dry each off with a towel and flatten them.

  4. Step 4

Lay 2 juice pouches together lengthwise, picture side down. Overlap the pouches so that the length is 8 inches. Use a zigzag stitch to sew the overlapping ends together. This is the bottom.

  5. Step 5

Lay 2 pouches side by side, overlapping them 1/4 inch. Sew together using a zigzag stitch. Do this with 2 more pouches. These pieces will be the front and back.

  6. Step 6

Sew the front and back pieces to the bottom of the purse using 1/4-inch seam allowance. Have the picture side on the outside. Sew 1 juice pouch to each narrow end to form the sides.

  7. Step 7

Sew all 4 corners together. Use a zigzag stitch.

  8. Step 8

Cut a juice pouch in thirds lengthwise. Sew the thirds end to end, and then attach them to the sides of the purse for the strap.

Tips & Warnings
  • Use a sewing machine. Hot glue and hand stitching will not be strong enough to hold.
  • Use a piece of ribbon for the strap instead of a pouch.
  • Embellish the top of the purse with fun ribbon or sequined trimmings.
  • The sewing machine needle may get sticky.
