Halloween is a great holiday to celebrate if you enjoy decorating your home, and a great way to start is with a wreath for the front door. You can make a scary or funny vine-based Halloween wreath for your guests to enjoy by following these simple steps.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Vine wreath
  • Spray paint
  • Ribbon
  • Battery-operated lights
  • Fake spider web and spider
  • Halloween decorations
  • Door hanger
  • Glue gun
  • Glue sticks
  1. Step 1

Buy a vine wreath from a craft store, or make your own using dried grapevines.

  2. Step 2

Spray the wreath with black spray paint. Allow the paint to dry before adding any decorations.

  3. Step 3

Spread a fake spider web on the back of the wreath so that it covers the entire center circle of the wreath. The spider web material should stick well to the vines. Put the spider in the center of the web.

  4. Step 4

String some battery-operated Halloween lights around the wreath. Wrap them around the wreath, and put the battery box on the back at the bottom of the wreath. Wire the box to a vine with a garbage tie or wire.

  5. Step 5

Add Halloween decorations to the wreath with a glue gun. Use scary eyes, bats, spiders, ghosts, pumpkins, black cats or witch hats.

  6. Step 6

Attach a hanger to the top of the back of the wreath so you can hang it on the door.

  7. Step 7

Hang the wreath on the front door to greet guests at the door.

Tips & Warnings
  • You don't have to spray the wreath black if it is a dark colored vine. The natural dark brown color is great for Halloween.
