Due to some glands producing excessive oil, oily skin can appear dull in color. An expert facial can help, but it is expensive and time-consuming. Grocery and beauty stores offer some prepared options, but they may contain unrecognizable ingredients. Instead, make a natural mask at home using everyday food items and get great results. For an easy way to pamper yourself and to revive your oily skin, follow this easy process.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Honey
  • Oatmeal
  • Lemon juice
  1. Step 1

Wash your face with your normal soap and warm water making sure the water is not too hot. Rinse your face very thoroughly and dry.

  2. Step 2

Use two tablespoons of each of the following ingredients to make a nice paste: honey, oatmeal and lemon juice. If the honey is very thick, then you can microwave it for just a few seconds in order to soften it. Mix everything together thoroughly with a fork.

  3. Step 3

Scoop the paste out of the bowl with your fingertips. Apply it to your face evenly, making sure you avoid the eye area.

  4. Step 4

Let the facial mask stay on for 10 minutes.

  5. Step 5

Wash your face again with warm water to remove the entire mask. It is best to do this over the kitchen sink so the paste can go down the disposal and not clog your sink.

Tips & Warnings
  • If you don't have oatmeal available, then a great substitute is Cheerios. Simply grind the cereal to the same consistency.
  • Discard any leftover mask.
