1
Select a large cucumber. Peel and chop or slice it into sections, removing the seeds. The cucumber peel and seeds have no harmful effects on the skin, but they can make the consistency of the mask more rough or bumpy and prevent the yogurt from combining well.
-
2
Choose unflavored, unsweetened plain yogurt. Any brand will do, but make sure it has none of the "extra" ingredients, which are usually added for taste and texture. That includes emulsifiers and preservatives. The yogurt ideally should be raw and unprocessed. Add 1/2 cup to the chopped cucumber.

Gently stir together and then pour into a food processor or blender. Mix until the consistency becomes similar to that of applesauce. If the mixture is too watery, add more cucumber chunks. Over-processing can make the cucumber too watery. If a food processor isn't working, use a knife to chop the cucumber pieces as finely as possible and then combine with the yogurt.

4
Add a teaspoon of instant, non-fat dry milk. Blend it in gently, not over-working the cucumbers again. The dry milk can also be added by hand to avoid liquefying the cucumber pieces. The facial mixture should be solid enough to be applied to the skin without running off.

5
Apply cucumber, yogurt and milk mixture to the face and neck, avoiding the eye area. Pat it on with the fingertips. Leave on for 10 to 15 minutes before rinsing off with warm water.
