Nero is one of the many CD, DVD and home entertainment software packages on the market today. If you need to copy many different types of information from your hard drive onto a mixed-mode CD, Nero can accomplish that with a few clicks of your mouse. So if you have Word documents, audio files, digital photographs and other types of files, you can burn them quickly to one CD.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Open Nero and click the "New" icon. Then click on "Mixed Mode" CD icon. Check the settings on the tabs. They will be preset to specifications that will work for most projects. You may want to change the setting on the last tab "burn" to 16X if you have regular-quality audio to burn.

  2. Step 2

Click "New" and a drag and drop screen will open. First, drag and drop all non-audio files from the file browser into the compilation screen. Click the data bar, and drag and drop Word, PDF, video and other files into the data section of Nero Burning ROM.

  3. Step 3

Drag and drop audio files into the audio section of the compilation screen after clicking the gray bar marked audio. When all your files are added hit "Burn" on the bottom of the screen.

  4. Step 4

Keep track of the CD-Rom's progress on the "Burn" screen that appears. It will show you the percentage of space left on the CD-Rom and alert you to any problems.

  5. Step 5

Take the burned mixed-mode CD out of your computer. Hit "Save compilation" on the pop-up if you want to save the compilation list on your hard drive. Exit Nero.

Tips & Warnings
  • These instructions are for Nero 7 Ultra Edition Burning ROM software.
  • If there are problems, follow the instructions on the screen to correct them. Common problems include a full or partially full disc in the CD drive instead of a blank one,or the wrong speed indicated on the burn tab.
