If you struggle with oily hair, then you know what a huge inconvenience it can be. You wash your hair every morning and by the afternoon it looks greasy and stringy. There are several home remedies that you can use to treat oily hair.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Continue to shampoo on a daily basis. Skipping a shampoo will only make your hair appear oilier. Buy a shampoo that is specifically formulated for oily hair.

  2. Step 2

Rinse away any excess shampoo. Residual shampoo left in the hair will make hair oily.

  3. Step 3

Skip the conditioner. Forgo conditioner altogether or use one that is designed for oily hair.

  4. Step 4

Use a lemon juice rinse. Mix equal parts lemon juice and warm water. Apply to your hair following a shampoo.

  5. Step 5

Consider pouring beer on your hair. Beer dries your hair out and will also keep your hair looking healthy and shiny.

  6. Step 6

Comb or brush your hair infrequently. Only brush your hair enough to style it and get the knots out. Excessive brushing drags any oil from the scalp into the hair.

Tips & Warnings
