How to Change Eudora Email Settings
The process for changing your settings in Eudora is comparable to how you set up the email package in the first place. Go by your original setup directions. These instructions will guide you on this project. You can change the font and color settings as well as create rules for what you consider junk mail.

1
Switch off all programs, particularly Microsoft Outlook if you have it running before making changes to Eudora. This will insure no other programs will interfere while you are working with this program.
-
2
Load the Eudora program and go into the section labeled "personalities." This section gives you the names of all email addresses you have set up in Eudora. Follow the prompts and choose "Tools," "Options" then "Getting Started."
-
-
3
Right-click on the personality you want to work with and select the "Properties" section.
-
4
Type in the user name you want to use. Next, type in the ISP (Internet Service Provider) name you are using. Here is an example of what you will see: mary@beltbrothers.com. This will name your "Mary" personality using the email program you are using at Belt Brothers Company.
-
5
Place your full name in the "Real Name" cell. Follow this train of thought for each question being asked. The "Return Address" will be your full email address. In the Mail Server box, type "pop3.yourdomain.net." "Yourdomain" will be provided by your ISP.
-
6
Type your user name in the "Login Name" box. In the SMTP server (Outgoing) box, type "smtp.yourdomain.net."
-
7
Check off the box labeled "Allow Authentication." This is a very important step. Click on the "Checking Mail" category. Now, you should be done. Restart your computer to make the changes take effect.

Tips & Warnings
Remember, this information changes the settings just for the email box. Further steps may be needed for more in-depth changes, so keep all of your resources handy.
Ensure your email address is entered correctly in the "Return Address" box or you will not be able to make your changes work.
If your POP3 server doesn't use the default POP3 port, you will need to contact Eudora for more detailed advice.
