Wedding centerpieces don't have to break the bank to make a big impression. Make your own wedding centerpiece to save money and to add a personal touch to your wedding decorations.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Place pillar candles on a mirror and add decorative greenery at the base or put simple floral arrangements in small vases or pots to make a traditional wedding centerpiece.

  2. Step 2

Fill wicker baskets with fruit or wildflowers and place in the center of the table. Trim the baskets with decorative ribbon and bows. Scatter flowers on the table around the baskets and you've created the perfect country wedding centerpiece.

  3. Step 3

Decorate small birdhouses by hand painting them and personalizing them with you and your fiance's initials and the wedding date for an outdoorsy wedding centerpiece.

  4. Step 4

Put marbles or decorative stone in the bottom of glass bowls, fill with water and add floating candles or flowers to create a simple and elegant wedding centerpiece.

  5. Step 5

Incorporate seasonal items into the wedding centerpiece for holiday weddings. Consider Christmas ornaments on miniature trees and a display of snow globes, stacked pumpkins with fall leaves, decorative Easter eggs in white wicker baskets, or glass bowls filled with chocolate treats and roses.

  6. Step 6

Decorate tables with smaller versions of the wedding cake or variations of the groom's cake to allow guests to help themselves after the cutting of the cake.

  7. Step 7

Display a mailbox or wishing well with note cards and pencils so guests can write down memorable wedding moments or a personal note to the bride or groom.
