How to Sell a Pet Chipmunk

If you are lucky enough to be the owner of a pet chipmunk, you know that they can be very fun, but also quite a bit of work. Keeping your pet chipmunk happy and healthy requires care and attention.

Instructions

    • 1

Make sure you really want to sell your chipmunk. Offer the cage and other accessories as an incentive to help new owner properly care for the chipmunk.

    • 2

List your chipmunk for sale in the local newspaper under the rodent section. Ask local pet stores if you can post a pet chipmunk for sale sign on their bulletin boards. Sell your chipmunk with any other chipmunk related equipment you possess.

    • 3

Clean the chipmunk's cage so that it is neat and presentable.

    • 4

Have prospective buyers come to your house and view the chipmunk. Discuss the time and space requirements and watch their reactions closely. Choose a buyer that provides a good home for the chipmunk.

    • 5

Deliver the chipmunk and its cage to the new owner's home, so you can be sure that they do not have other animals that will not be able to live with a chipmunk. Help set up the cage and get the chipmunk situated in its new home.

Tips & Warnings

  • Tell prospective buyers about the fun and trials of owning a chipmunk. Be honest about why you are getting rid of the chipmunk.

  • Do not sell your pet chipmunk to a home with cats or dogs.

  • Do not pressure anyone into purchasing a pet chipmunk. You want the best possible home for the chipmunk.
