When you have sensitive skin you really have to be careful what you use on it. You are already aware that you cannot use certain perfumes, body sprays and makeup, but you also have to be careful of the bodywashes that you pick. Follow these guidelines to pick the appropriate bodywashes for sensitive skin.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Step1
Visit your dermatologist and have her advise you on any products that may irritate your skin. For example, some people have to avoid aloe or lanolin. Your dermatologist can tell you about of any of these skin irritants.
Step2
Stay away from any fragranced bodywashes. A majority of scented bodywashes have large amounts of alcohol which can irritate sensitive skin. This includes some bodywashes from Victoria's Secret or Bath & Body Works skin care line.
Step3
Exclude any bodywashes that contain shea or cocoa butters. They tend to be greasy and clog pores, resulting in outbreaks of acne or rashes. Most products will mention these items on the front of the bottle, but also check the ingredients.
Step4
Purchase bodywashes that are intended for babies. They are a lot milder because a baby's skin is so much more delicate. You can find these gentle products in the diaper aisle of your local store.
Step5
Buy organic. They are more expensive but they contain all natural products that will not irritate sensitive skin. You can find them online at websites such as saffronrouge.com.
Step6
Check out any bodywashes that are for sensitive skin. Read the label and make sure they are fragrance free.
Step7
Purchase bodywashes from your pharmacy. They offer some products that are formulated for sensitive skin.
