After enjoying much success on the British airwaves, the situational comedy "The Office" made it's debut for American audiences. Equipped with a new cast and updated storylines, the American version of "The Office" has quickly become just as successful as it's long-running British counterpart. If you're eagerly anticipating the new season of "The Office," try throwing a themed party to celebrate the premiere of one of your favorite shows.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Hole-punch
  • Invitations
  • Bulletin board with tacks
  • Note cards for trivia game
  • Time cards
  • Prizes
  • Beverages
  • Food
  • Save the date notes

    Plan Your Office Premiere Party

  1. Step 1

Send a "Save the Date" card to guests as soon as you know when the premiere episode will air, letting them know about the party so they can plan for it. You can put your "Save the Date" cards on business card sized magnets to keep with the theme and give guests a fun, themed way to remember the date.

  2. Step 2

Send the actual invitation in the form of a certificate or diploma you would see on "The Office."

  3. Step 3

Buy small office supplies to hand out to your guests as prizes. Items like pens, notepads, pencils, staplers and rulers are all good ideas for prizes. If you are playing games related to the show, give a grand prize gift certificate to a local office supply store.

  4. Step 4

Write down trivia questions on note cards and quiz your guests on facts about the show. Let them earn points for and prizes for each correct answer.

  5. Step 5

Keep track of points from games on a time card with each person's name written on top. Use a hole-punch to punch points into each person's card when they earn them.

  6. Step 6

Provide a decent amount of snacks or a light meal to your guests. "The Office" has a fairly early prime time slot, and many of your guests may not have time to finish dinner before heading over to your house.

  7. Step 7

Rent previous seasons on DVD and show group favorites leading up to the premiere show of "The Office."

  8. Step 8

Have guests take photos of their own offices and bring to the premiere party. Display the photos on a bulletin board to see if guests can guess who belongs with which office. Give prizes to the cleanest office, messiest office, the office most like the television show, most colorful office or most organized office.

Tips & Warnings
  • Plan on scoring a copy of the British version of the show before the season premiere. Your guests may get a huge kick out of seeing some of their "favorite" episodes transferred across the Pond and it may increase anticipation for the premiere.
