Plan
-
1
Do a survey before the party for favorite Simpsons episodes. Rent the DVDs with those episodes to show earlier in the evening, leading up to showtime.
-
2
Select some "Treehouse of Horror" episodes to watch before the big viewing. Since "The Simpsons" almost always premieres with a "Treehouse of Horror" episode, watching old episodes of these classic Halloween cartoons may help build anticipation among your guests.
-
3
Count the number of times Homer says "Do'h" when showing the older episodes. You will have to watch them before hand to count the correct number. Give a prize to the person who counts the number correctly each episode.
-
4
Pick up a few Simpsons board games and set them on tables for your guests. Monopoly, Clue, Life and Operation all have their own versions of the game using "The Simpsons."
-
5
Serve up some of Homer's favorite drinks. You may want to substitute the beer for root beer, but in a frosty mug, it will be just as good. You can also try you hand at a Flaming Moe (or a Flaming Homer, depending on where your loyalties lie) by following the recipe at iDrink (see Resources below).
-
6
Offer some of Homer's favorite foods at your party. Simpsons fans know Homer will eat just about anything, but sweets and pork chops are his favorite. While pork chops might be a stretch unless your guests plan to come for dinner, donuts, cookies and candy of any kind will work!
-
7
Show your hospitality and play the role of Moe and serve people like Moe would in the bar. Be sure to serve your guests on "The Simpsons" party plates.
-
8
Ask guests to dress up as their favorite character from "The Simpsons." Give away gift certificates to the local donut shop as prizes.
-
9
Give away party bags at the end of the night. Pick up some small bags and fill them with Simpsons related treasures. You can find small items such as pencils and playing cards at your local toy store.

Tips & Warnings
Although "The Simpsons" is a cartoon and it does have a fairly early slot on the prime time line up, keep in mind it does carry a PG-13 rating. You may wish to notify your guests, especially if you have any friends with young children who may be attending. The show may be unsuitable for children, and your guests may need to plan for a babysitter.
