Celebrate Oktoberfest in Omaha, Nebraska at the clubhouse of the German-American Society of America, or head over to the Huber-Haus German Beer Hall, where the Crescent Moon Oktoberfest takes place. Each offers plenty of live music, great food, activities for children, performances and dancing. The German-American clubhouse celebration takes place in mid-September, while the Huber-Haus festivities usually occur later on in the month.

  • Clothes for unexpected weather conditions

Step1
Celebrate at the German American Society of Omaha with Warsteiner beer on tap, German wines, mixed drinks, soft drinks and coffee.
Step2
Participate in the fun of the Beer Drinking Contest. There's one for men and and one for women, both held in the evening at the clubhouse.
Step3
Enjoy the flavors of the German roast pig, roast chicken and bratwurst that is served from noon until 7 p.m. at the German-American Society of Omaha celebration. Be sure not to miss the German tortes served for dessert!

Delight children by visiting with Hic-Ups the clown for free face painting.
Step5
Attend the official Keg Opening at 2 p.m. Be sure not to miss it, as it's a long-standing tradition at the German-American Society of Omaha's Oktoberfest celebration!

Dance with authentic German performers in the North Hall of the German American Society Oktoberfest celebration.

Sample Jagermeister shots served by the Jagermeister girls. There are also prizes given out.

Join in with the German folk dancers, who perform all day from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.

View "The Narren," German carnival costumes, in the German American Society of Omaha clubhouse.

Listen to win as the raffle winner for a trip to Germany is announced late in the evening.

Enjoy live German polka music and authentic German food at the non-stop, 2-day Oktoberfest event held at the Huber Haus German Beer Hall.

Sip fine German beer featured by Spaten, Warstein and Paulaner at the Huber Haus Crescent Moon Oktoberfest celebration.
