How to Celebrate Oktoberfest in Hartford, Connecticut
The Hartford, Connecticut Brewfest is the closest thing you'll find to an Oktoberfest in this northeastern city. The Brewfest is a 1-day event that is held in downtown Hartford each year in September. Admission prices are moderate, with proceeds going to the Hartford Guides charity group. There is a large beer tent on site, and the festive atmosphere is worth the price of admission alone. Many local Connecticut brewers serve their special brews on tap while an array of Bavarian beers are also brought in to honor the German festival that usually kicks off in Munich, Germany around the same time Brewfest is held.
