Oktoberfest in Fredericksburg, Texas is held on the first weekend in October each year, on Main Street, where the event's Marktplatz is located. The Marktplatz, or market place, is the hub of Oktoberfest and features a variety of game and food booths. The Fredericksburg Oktoberfest is a community celebration of Bavarian-inspired traditions.

    Plan a Vacation Around the Fredericksburg Oktoberfest

  1. Step 1

    Make accommodations in Fredericksburg at least 4 months in advance of your trip, because area lodgings fill up fast on festival weekends.

    Visit local attractions such as the Fredericksburg Art Gallery, the Pioneer Museum and the Stagecoach Movie Theatre during Octoberfest weekend.

    Enter the traditional Fredericksburg Oktoberfest Waltz Contest.

    Enjoy a warm, soft pretzel while viewing a live performance by the ever-popular Tuba Meisters.

Tips & Warnings
  • Pets are not allowed on the Oktoberfest grounds at any time. Individuals requiring animals for medical assistance, however, are always welcome.
