The Crossville Oktoberfest celebration is an annual 2-day event that is historically held on the second weekend of October. The event is the largest of its kind in the Crossville area and attracts many visitors from Metro Knoxville, which is a little more than an hour's drive to the east. The Oktoberfest runs Friday and Saturday with opening ceremonies beginning at noon on Friday and closing ceremonies beginning 1 hour before the 9:30 p.m. close on Saturday. Family Day is Saturday with gates opening at 10 a.m.

Plan Your Visit to Crossville Oktoberfest

Step1
Reserve flights to Knoxville Regional Airport at least 3 months in advance as Knoxville, Tennessee is a popular, year round destination.
Step2
Make lodging accommodations in the area. The La Quinta Inn is the preferred hotel of the Crossville, Tennessee Oktoberfest.
Step3
Drive to the Crossville Oktoberfest from Knoxville by traveling west along Interstate 40. The trip is approximately 75 miles.
Step4
Purchase admission tickets at the door for $7. Advanced ticket sales are priced at $5.

Obtain a copy of the performance schedule to ensure that you can see your favorite shows.

Enjoy Oktoberfest

Step1
Arrive when the gates first open Friday at 11:30 a.m. to celebrate the traditional Oktoberfest opening ceremonies. A large Oompah band will entertain the early guests before and after the official "Tapping of the Keg" by a city official.

Purchase raffle tickets to enter your name in the annual Oktoberfest Raffle Drawing. Winners will receive a variety of prizes ranging from gift certificates to weekend getaway vacations to various Tennessee destinations.

Participate in a German-themed contest such as the Beer Stein Hold or the Stein Pouring Event.
Step4
Feast on German cuisine and other foods from around the world. Large meals are served during all hours and snack foods are sold at vendor booths situated throughout the fairgrounds. Choose from jumbo soft pretzel,jumbo plate of bratwurst, or cabbage and potato pancakes.

In the Biergarten,you can listen to live music, drink your favourite beverage,join others on the dance floor for a quick polka lesson or the famous chicken dance.

  • Tickets can be purchased online at a reduced price. Admission tickets purchased the day of the event cost a bit extra.
