How to Celebrate Oktoberfest in Philadelphia
The Cannstatter's Volkfest Labor Day Weekend Festival is Philadelphia's largest Oktoberfest celebration. The 3-day event opens at noon each day and offers guests a variety of activities. From German-themed dancing and singing to the ever-popular beer tents, the town of Philadelphia has been honoring Oktoberfest traditions that originated in Bavaria in 1810 for more than 135 years. The city of brotherly love has many other small-scale Oktoberfest events throughout the city but the Volkfest Festival each September is the main attraction.
