Step 1
Help the IRFF raise funds by joining the fundraising team. The fundraising team is responsible for planning and organizing events, collecting donated goods and conducting sales.
-
Step 2
Volunteer in your professional capacity, contributing your specialized knowledge and skills to any of the programs offered by the IRFF. Although all help is welcome, there are areas in which professional help is needed. For instance, skilled volunteers will be needed in the administrative and accounting departments.
-
Step 3
Volunteer in communities suffering from natural disasters and other catastrophes. IRFF organizes volunteers into teams to provide food, clothing, shelter and medical attention to members of the community. Volunteers also help to rebuild the community.
-
Step 4
Help to make education accessible worldwide. In addition to providing educational supplies, the IRFF builds schools and literacy centers in communities around the world.
-
Step 5
Provide assistance in medical projects. The IRFF improves health care in poverty-stricken areas by building clinics, hospitals and dispensaries, providing medical equipment and supplies, educating the people on proper healthcare and nutrition, and increasing awareness of AIDS and the methods of prevention.
-
Step 6
Gain world experience when you volunteer at IRFF chapters in other parts of the world. Keep in mind that each chapter may have unique programs and volunteer positions due to their location. Look through the Programs and Projects page to find one that appeals to you (see Resources below). Fill out an application to apply to serve in one of these chapters (see Resources below).
-
Step 7
Search for the chapter closest to you on the IRFF (see Resources below). Contact the coordinator of your regional chapter for more information on how you can volunteer at the International Relief Friendship Foundation.
-
Step 1
Consider making a monetary donation. The IRFF relies on contributed funds to continue its humanitarian efforts. You can make your donation online or by mail, using a check or money order.
-
Step 2
Contact your regional IRFF chapter if you would like to make in-kind contributions. The foundation accepts goods, accumulated frequent flyer miles and vehicles.
