Volunteer at Operation Blessing USA

Step1
Educate those in need through the Bless-a-child and Life Skills Empowerment programs. The Bless-a-child program focuses on tutoring children, teaching them life skills and helping their character development while the Life Skills Empowerment program provides skill training to adults and students in need of jobs.
Step2
Provide food, grocery and other items to impoverished families through the Holiday of Hope and Hunger relief programs.
Step3
Provide emergency services to survivors of natural or man-made disasters through the Disaster Relief program.
Step4
Volunteer to help with the Pencil Case Kit project. In this project, you can help to provide simple school supplies to schoolchildren around the world whose parents are unable to purchase such items. Visit the Operation Blessing USA Pencil Case Kit website to see the list of items you will need for a pencil case and where to mail the kits to (see Resources below).
Step5
Assemble a Disaster Relief Kit. The kits contain toiletries for those who need emergency relief. Visit Operation Blessing's website for a list of the items you will need for the kits and the address to which you will mail them (see Resources below).
Step6
Volunteer at other Operation Blessing chapters nationwide. Chapters in areas recovering from disasters will welcome as many volunteers as they can get. For instance, the chapter in Louisiana needs more laborers and medical personnel in the ongoing efforts to recover from hurricane Katrina.
Step7
Contact your local Operation Blessing chapter for more information on how you can volunteer. Search for the chapter closest to you on the homepage of the Operation Blessing website.
