How to Change a Webpage Created in Frontpage From .HTM to .HTML

You will learn how to change the extension on a web page file from .HTM to .HTML in this quick and easy tutorial.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • A computer
  • Notepad
  1. Step 1

    Locate your file in Windows using the Windows hard drive explorer.

  2. Step 2

    Right click on the desired .HTM file and click Open with... then select Notepad.

  3. Step 3

    Once the file has been opened in Notepad, go to File>Save As and for the filename in parentheses put "filename.html" instead of the current "filename.htm"

  4. Step 4

    The file has now been saved with a .HTML extension instead of .HTM!

  • Don't be daunted by this unbelievably simple task!
  • Easier than it may seem!
