Things You'll Need:

  • Permission to bring a camera
  1. Step 1

Plan ahead and leave early. There are national rail trains to North Wales from Euston Station. Alternatively, you can take one of the many overland trains. Or if you prefer to drive, there is short term paid parking available near the castle.

  2. Step 2

As this is a World Heritage site, there will be an admission fee. A website in the resources section has been included that has information on opening times, admission fees and the all important FAQ section.

  3. Step 3

Enter the castle and be drawn back through time! See the rounded, circular shapes on the towers; another sign that King Edward I wanted this site to be uniquely British. See the Kings and Queens gates, the Upper Ward, and the bailey joining the forts...

  4. Step 4

The castle stands as a remarkable viewpoint in the rich and varied history of the British Empire. But you really should find out for yourself!
