Leicester’s Big Session festival, voted best small festival of 2006, is in its third year and getting bigger each time around. Showcasing mostly folk music they can really promote themselves with pride in 2007 having captured the services of the legendary Oyster band. If you follow the steps below we can’t guarantee a good time, but we can promise a worry-free one.

1. Check out there website for information about on what’s on (link below).
2. Look at some past reviews of Leicester’s Big Session festival. Nobody wants to waste a weekend going to event they don’t enjoy and it is good idea to look at other people’s opinions--there will be plenty of opinions on the web.
3. Join the mailing list. This is always a good idea because festival line ups are always subject to change, and if you’re favorite performer can’t make it, you will immediately learn of their replacement.
