Look at some past reviews of Leicester’s Big Session festival. Nobody wants to waste a weekend going to event they don’t enjoy and it is good idea to look at other people’s opinions--there will be plenty of opinions on the web.

Join the mailing list. This is always a good idea because festival line ups are always subject to change, and if you’re favorite performer can’t make it, you will immediately learn of their replacement.

Make an itinerary of what you want to see. The festival has more bands than ever this year and it is best to look at the times and venues they are playing to decide how you make the most of the occasion.

Buy your tickets online via the website, a check through the post or by phoning the box office on 0116 233 3111. Once the tickets have been paid for they have to be collected from the box office.

Book your tent space. If you are camping you need to book your space on the site by phoning the box office.

Look into parking. Finding a space for you car at an event like Leicester’s big session can be nightmare. However, the festival organizers have made it easier this year by getting some of the local car parks to co-operate with them. These are all listed on the website along with a map to show you where they’re situated. All the parking costs money.
