The Trowbridge Village Pump Festival showcases folk and roots music. In its 34th year, the idea for the festival was conceived over a pint at the local pub, and beer remains a major attraction of this event. Overall, it’s a jolly atmosphere, with fine music and many local brews on sale.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Step1
Visit the official festival website (see Resources below).
Step2
Look at ticket prices and see what you will be paying for. A ticket for either Thursday or Friday is half of what it is on a Saturday or Sunday.
Step3
Book tickets online at the two ticket office links below.
Step4
Make a credit card booking by telephone on either 01225 710 535 or 0117 929 9008. These are not the festival numbers, but general ticket offices.
Step5
Pay by cheque. Make your checque payable to the Trowbridge Festival and send it to the address on the website. A booking form needs to be printed off from the website, filled out and sent off with the cheque and a S.A.E.
Step6
Plan how you are going to get there. Parking for your car is free. There is a link on the website for directions to get to the festival.
Step7
Find somewhere to stay. Many people take advantage of the free parking, but if you would prefer something a little more comfortable, check out places to stay at the tourism link below.
Step8
Come prepared. If you are going to camp, bring food, cooking facilities, a tent and both warm and summer clothing. Trowbridge Village Pump Festival has an ATM machine and a general store on site. As far as weather goes, the event is rarely spoilt by rain, as the events are mostly held in marquees.

Tips & Warnings

  • Tickets are £10 more expensive to buy after July 1st.
  • Tickets can be bought at the gate if there are any left. Again they will be more expensive and it is best to check there availability on 01225 769 132.
  • Most events are held in marquees so the Trowbridge festival is rarely affected by rain.
