Things You'll Need:
- 1/2 Cup of Sugar
- 1 1/2 Tablespoon of Cornstarch
- 1/4 Teaspoon of Salt
- 1 1/2 Tablespoon Lemon Juice
- 2 Tablespoons of Butter
- 1/8 Teaspoon Nutmeg
- 1 Cup of Boiling Water
- Metal Pot
- Wooden Spoon
- 1 Large Mixing Bowl
- Stove Top on Medium Heat

Step 1
Mix 1/2 cup of sugar, 1 1/2 tablespoon of cornstarch, and 1/4 teaspoon of salt together in saucepan over medium heat. Add 1 cup of boiling water gradually to mix as you stir the mixture. Boil over heat for about 5 minutes.

Step 2
Remove the saucepan from the stove top and add the remaining ingredients. 1 1/2 tablespoon of lemon juice, 2 tablespoons of butter, and 1/8 teaspoon of nutmeg. Mix together thoroughly.

Step 3
Serve hot on gingerbread, fruitcake, or pound cake with vanilla ice cream.
