The Victoria and Albert Museum is a magnificent arena in which to find some of the world’s most precious artifacts. The only small challenge lies in navigating your way around all of them. Lovingly known as the V&A, this museum is one of this eHow writer’s favourites!

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Map of the V&A
Step1
Download a map of the Victoria and Albert Museum. You can download and print one of three maps available. With a map in hand, you will be sure to pick the best of day 1 of your tour of the V&A. If you want to really see every thing, it’s best to spend at least 2 days at the museum. Admission is free except for special exhibitions.
Step2
If you are not able to download and print a map from the V&A website don not worry; the museum itself offers maps for all its visitors. Or if you want to really get the royal treatment, the V&A offers free guided tours.
Step3
To make your tour easier, the different galleries at the V&A are coded by number and alphabet. For example, you may find the Asia exhibit from 44 to 47a-c. Don not rely on the numbers as the only guide to what you should see; you’ll find the Europe exhibit in 46c. The V&A also posts signs every where so you always know where you are.

Tips & Warnings

  • The museum offers late opening times twice per week.
  • If you don't like crowds in a museum, don't go on a Saturday or Sunday.
