Father’s Day on the 17th June is the perfect day for showing your father appreciation for everything he has done for you. If you live in London, or fancy visiting the city, here are a few ideas on how to celebrate that special day.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Step1
Take him to a classy London restaurant. Many of the restaurants have special menus on this day of the year. You don't have to break the bank; you can dine on three courses at restaurants such as the elegant No 5 for as little as £25 on Father’s Day.
Step2
Treat him to something special. A gift from Harrods will let your father know you have put in some extra effort. You can buy almost anything in Harrods, from the best Champagne to high tech gadgets. The Harrods bag will impress, even if it only holds a pair of socks.
Step3
Take a day out with your father. Check out www.hospitalityline.co.uk for special day packages around London. They will put together the ultimate day out. You can choose from a host of attractions such as The Tower of London, the London Eye and a Thames Circular River Cruise.
Step4
Go to a West End Show. There are so many excellent productions running in London you will be spoilt for choice. Team the theatre idea with a pre-theatre dinner and your next birthday will be rewarded in payback.
Step5
Grab a copy of London Time Out. The magazine will give you a sample of many special events from across the city. For Father's Day, you'll find many special offers in restaurants, bars and shops.
Step6
Have a picnic. This is a Sunday pastime for many Londoners and it is something that the whole family can enjoy. The parks will have an extra special party atmosphere on Father's Day, and the bubbly will be flowing. Okay it may rain, but that should only dampen the grass, not your spirits.
