How to Play Nintendo's Brain Age
This Nintendo game was inspired by the work of Japanese Neuroscientist Ryuta Kawashima, and is intended to get your brain running in the right direction. It features a bunch of different exercises to both warm up, train and entertain your brain. There are reading activities, math problems, logic exercises and more. The more you train, the more you unlock. Here's how to get started.

1
Choose a platform. Brain Age is available for the Nintendo DS or the Wii. Do you prefer to work with your full arm, or just a stylus?
-
2
Get started. You have the options of Quick Play, Daily Training, Sudoku and Download.
-
-
3
Select Quick Play to immediately start brain exercises. This is great for practice, but note that this mode will not keep track of your scores over time.
-
4
Daily Training will prompt you to create a profile and keep track of your brain training progress. These are the same exercises as those in Quick Play, except your scores will be kept so you can track your progress over time. Doing Daily Training will also unlock more exercises.
-
5
The Sudoku option will again prompt you to choose a profile, but will give you a range of tutorial and scored Sudoku puzzles to solve.
-
6
Download allows you to send a demo to a friend or start a calculation battle with up to 15 other people!
-
7
Keep at it. The key to getting the most out of Brain Age is consistency. The more often you do the exercises, the better you'll get. You'll also unlock more exercises and be able to see your improvement.
