If you love live blues music set in a natural amphitheatre and with a nearby beer festival, then plan a weekend at the Linton Music Festival now. The festival has been a fixture of the Herefordshire calendar for several years and receives glowing press reviews each year.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Step1
Use the official website. The Linton Music Festival website is www.lintonfestival.org and you can use the online order form to purchase tickets. You can also order tickets online through their service provider, skiddle.com.
Step2
If tickets are sold out. The festival is held at the Alma Inn and there will be tickets on sale at the Inn for those who could not get any online, or have forgotten to book early. Phone the Alma Inn and ask if there are any tickets left.
Step3
Join the mailing list. Regular email updates will let you know when tickets are on sale and the bands that have been signed to perform. The mailing list registration form can be found at the official website.
Step4
Book your accommodation early. The price of the weekend ticket is £40 and there is an additional small charge to use the weekend camping site. If you don’t intend to rough it in a tent, Herefordshire has some excellent bed-and-breakfast accommodation. A full list of accommodation near the festival site is available on the official website.
Step5
Bring the kids. The Linton Music Festival runs for three days in June or July and Sunday is usually a relaxed, family day. They cannot guarantee great weather, but with the blues and boogie-woogie music, great food and drink and the party atmosphere makes for a great day for the whole family.
Step6
The beer festival. Every year the Alma Inn, which has been voted CAMRA Herefordshire pub of the year for two years, hosts its beer festival to complement the music festival. They have over 20 varieties of real ale and cider for you to try. The whole weekend has a party atmosphere. The Linton Music Festival address is The Alma Inn, Linton, near Ross-on-Wye, Herefordshire.
