How to Plan a Hiking Trip to Bridal Veil Falls, Utah
Located in the southern end of Provo Canyon, Utah's Bridal Veil Falls has many hiking trails. Although parts of Bridal Veil were damaged in a 1996 avalanche, it is still breathtakingly beautiful and well worth a visit. Lace up your hiking boots and head to Bridal Veil for a day full of adventure.

Access Bridal Veil Falls by driving through Provo Canyon on U.S. Highway 189. Download a map from an online source located below.

Exit the highway following the signs to Bridal Veil. You will see the falls if you miss the signs. Park in the parking lot at the base of the falls.

Hike to the base of the falls. Be careful once you reach the base as the rocks will be wet and slippery.

Follow some of the other trails for more adventure. Stay on the marked trails and do not venture off into unmarked territory.

Bring a light jacket or sweatshirt even in the summer months. Know that the temperature in the canyon can be much lower than the temperature in the city.

Pack plenty of water. Drink frequently to avoid becoming dehydrated, especially in summer months.

Go to the upper parking lot after the hike for a magnificent view of the falls. Bring a camera because there will be many great photo opportunities.

Tips & Warnings
Late spring to late fall are the best times to hike Bridal Veil Falls.
Swim in the pool at the base of the waterfalls after the hike. Be forewarned that it is very chilly water.
Pack out everything you pack in. Put trash in trash cans or take it out with you.
Do not hike Bridal Veil when there are chances of flash flooding.
Use caution hiking in the winter, especially when there is snow and ice.
