Click on "Bureau of Motor Vehicles," "Driver Licenses," "Motorcycle Skills Testing" and "Motorcycle Operator Manual."

Read over the Motorcycle Operator Manual. Become familiar with all rules, regulations and conditions regarding motorcycle operation.

Pass the written test for your Motorcycle Learner's permit and pay all applicable fees at your local license branch.

Practice driving your motorcycle for at least 30 days.

Visit abateofindiana.org and register for a motorcycle skills test.

Complete the test and obtain verification of completion.

Present your driver's license, motorcycle learner's permit, all applicable fees and your verification of completion of the motorcycle skills test at your local license branch.

Apply for your motorcycle driver's license.

Receive your motorcycle operator's license or endorsement on your current driver's license.

Tips & Warnings
The completion of an approved motorcycle safety course may be used in lieu of a motorcycle skills test.
