Read over the descriptions of the personalized plates offered by the state of Nebraska. Note rules for display and eligibility requirements, if applicable.

Choose a personalized license plate.

Download the application corresponding to the personalized license you are interested in.

Step 6
Complete the application, providing all personal and vehicle information. Include certification verifying that you are eligible to apply for the personalized plate, if applicable.

Step 7
Total your fees. Make a check payable to Department of Motor Vehicles.

Mail your completed application, eligibility certification and check to Nebraska Department of Motor Vehicles, Driver and Vehicle Records Division, 301 Centennial Mall South, P.O. Box 94789, Lincoln, Nebraska 68509-4789.

Step 9
Receive notification that your license plates are ready to be picked up from the County Treasurer's office.

Step 10
Retrieve your personalized plates from the County Treasurer's office. Surrender your old plates and registration. Use your new specialty plates upon receipt.
