There's nothing like that romantic night in mid-February when you and your loved one take an evening to remind each other what's so special about the other person. Of course, there's the candy, the flowers and the stuffed animals, but one of the most important things is the Valentine's Day card. Inside the card you can share your deepest, warmest feelings. Here are a few tips on how to find a really great Valentine's Day card!

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Step1
Go to the store. Supermarkets, convenience stores and pharmacies all carry greeting-card sections. About 6 weeks prior to Valentine's Day, right as the leftover Christmas merchandise gets marked down heavily, the Valentine's Day merchandise appears! And you don't necessarily need to make a special trip to find those cards. Simply pick them up when you are doing your normal shopping!
Step2
Check out the Web! Buying Valentine's Day cards can get pricey. By the time you factor in mom, grandma, your wife and your child's entire class, it adds up quickly. Another way to exchange the sentiment and save a little cash is to create an ecard. They are free and usually interactive, which makes them really kind of cool. Check out Blue Mountain or Hallmark online for more information. (If these don't fit your fancy, simply type "Valentine's Day ecards" into your favorite search engine and explore the results.)
Step3
Peruse boutiques. Stores like Papyrus are fascinating little places where the greeting cards and Valentine's Day cards are made with an extra special level of quality. Instead of using your standard card stock to print on, they usually use fine papers made of linens and inks and coloring of superior quality.
Step4
Make your own. Check out Paper Source online for their store locations. At this store, you can pick your materials by hand and physically make your own card. Use crushed flowers, lace, ribbon and many other materials to make your own Valentine's Day card for that special someone.
