How to Be Alone
For someone who isn't used to spending time alone, the experience can be a challenging and difficult thing. Like anything else, though, being alone takes time and practice to learn. With a little advice and some experience anyone can enjoy spending time alone and find it to be a rewarding and enriching experience.

Focus on doing things you enjoy alone. Spoil yourself a little to associate being alone with pleasant things, like watching a favorite movie, taking walks and reading.

Set aside a little bit of time each day to be alone. By slowly getting used to time alone, you will be able to adjust to the feeling without getting overwhelmed. Try your best to keep your daily commitment of alone time, but if it feels like it's too much, find some company.

Develop a routine for your alone time. A routine will enable you to enjoy alone time without having to make a concerted effort. You will find that there are lots of things you can enjoy once the act of spending time on your own becomes habitual.

Keep a journal or diary. Writing while you are alone is a great way to not just be alone but to be with yourself. A journal or diary will allow you to enjoy being alone while exploring your thoughts and feelings in a way that could not be accomplished with others around.
