Whether you are running a household or a corporation, or touring the world on vacation, you can accomplish more with a master list. Making a list of what you need or want to accomplish will dramatically jump-start anything in life. A master list is like a blueprint. It's your detailed plan of action. Follow the steps listed below to master life with a master list!

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Step1
Analyze what you want to accomplish and why. Most of what we want to manage in our lives, whether it's personal or business related, comes down to how we manage ourselves. A master list helps us to get organized, see the big picture and function more efficiently.
Step2
Remember that management is something everyone has to do to be successful. Management is just a part of everyday living. Driving a car takes management. What did you have to accomplish first in the process of getting a driver's license? Learning the master list of rules in the driver's manual! Think of your master list as your overall "manual" for what you want to accomplish.
Step3
Divide your master list into short-term goals and long-range goals. What do you need to accomplish today? What needs to be done by tomorrow or next week? What project needs to be completed one year from now, two years from now or four years from now? "Choose an outfit for my job interview" would go under short-term goals. "Finish my education" would go under long-range goals.
Step4
Keep the main thing the main thing! Focus on the end result you are working toward. Planning a trip? Pack your suitcase! Take care of all the in-between details, but don't let all those details take away from enjoying the journey.
