Christmas decorations are a fun part of the holidays, especially the traditional Christmas wreath. Make your own to match your home and style. Here's how to make a vine Christmas wreath.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Vine wreath
  • Hot glue gun
  • Glue sticks
  • Decorations of your choice
  1. Step 1

Find a vine wreath to decorate. They can be found in many shapes and sizes at almost any craft store. They are great for using as a base for your wreath because their look can be transformed into almost anything you want.

  2. Step 2

Determine what you want your base to look like. You can keep the natural brown vine, paint the vines with spray paint or fill the vines with silk holly leaves or pine trimmings and hide all traces of the vine.

  3. Step 3

Pick out what style of decorations you want on your wreath. There are many options at Christmastime. You can use small ornaments and fill the wreath with a certain color theme. You can use small boxes wrapped like gifts or even cookies to decorate the wreath.

  4. Step 4

Use the hot glue gun to attach the decorations to the wreath. You only need a small amount to attach them, but if you are attaching them to silk leaves you may need to glue the leaf to the vine and then glue the decoration on top of it. This will keep the leaf from sagging under the weight of the decoration.

  5. Step 5

Let the glue cool for a few minutes before moving the wreath around. Finish the wreath by adding all of your decorations, checking that they are in the area you want them before gluing.

  6. Step 6

Attach a hanger on the back of the wreath using the hot glue gun. Make sure the hanger is balanced and in the center so the wreath will hang straight on the door or wall.
