Metaphysics is the study of the nature and being of reality and its origin and structure. In other words, why are you here? There are several programs for the study of metaphysics, some traditional, others not. If this area of philosophy fascinates you, follow these steps to expand your knowledge.

Instructions

Difficulty: Challenging
Step1
Search programs and schools with areas of study in metaphysics. Check out offers for shorter, free courses, as well as longer, more academic pursuits.
Step2
Contact a nearby university for information from the Philosophy Department. Depending on your level of education, you may want to discuss the program with an admissions counselor, a professor or a representative in the graduate college.
Step3
Sign up for an introductory course, either online or through adult continuing education in your area. Explore the discipline and decide how deeply you would like to pursue the study of metaphysics.
Step4
Use metaphysics to think outside the box, to see things differently. Develop a new perspective about yourself, life and the universe.
Step5
Study metaphysics as a way to build a belief system, to grow, to heal and to fulfill your potential. Many people look to metaphysics when they feel that religion and spirituality is not providing the answers they seek.
