First there was paper scrapbooking, followed by digital. The combination of the two had produced hybrid scrapbooking. A Scrapper can search the Internet for embellishments and papers to download and use in numerous paper and digital layouts. Hybrid combines paper and digital techniques to create fun scrapbook layouts.

  • Digital scrapbook supplies
  • Paper scrapbook supplies
  • Photos
  • Photo editing software
  • Archival quality adhesive
  1. Step 1

    Begin by selecting photos and other elements to use on a page. Select coordinating colors in both digital and paper elements. However, digital elements, including photos, can be enhanced or altered to match desired papers.

  2. Step 2

    Customize photos or paper on the computer. Computer brushes or stamps are techniques that customize and are a part of most photo editing programs. Digital overlays are another option.

  3. Step 3

    Print digital elements and photos to use on the layout. Available digital elements include tags, quotes, frames, ribbons, stamps and alphabets. Many can be downloaded for free or for a fee on any digital scrapbook website such as Digitalscrapbookpages.

  4. Step 4

    Mat digital elements with coordinating traditional paper and adhere to the chosen page to create a hybrid scrapbook layout masterpiece.
