How to Do The Knee and Thigh Stretch In Yoga

The knee and thigh stretch can firm your thighs without the expensive health club price tag. Follow these steps to master the position.

Instructions

      Sit in a relaxed position on the floor or your yoga mat. Push feet together firmly. Make sure that heels are pulled as far in as comfortably possible.

      Stretch your back until you are sitting in a tall erect position. Pull against your feet and start to lower your knees. Do this cautiously at first, it really tightens the thigh muscles, and you will feel it.

      Pull as strongly against your feet as you can. Lower you knees as far as you can without discomfort.

      Hold position for a count of 20. If you have any discomfort, hold the position for a few seconds, then relax and try again.

      Grasp your feet and let your knees raise. Pull on your feet and repeat the pressure on the thigh muscles.

      Let go of your feet. Extend legs outward and relax.
