1
Avoid areas where bullies congregate at school. It could be the bathroom after lunch or the darkest corner of the playground, but try to stay away from the area at the particular time a bully is likely to be there.
-
2
Travel with friends. If you find it necessary to cross paths with a bully, there is always safety in numbers. Keep your friends close and a bully is likely to avoid a confrontation.

3
Practice what to say. While it might sound silly, a bully' s goal is to cause fear. Insulting a bully or simply not playing along with his intimidation could deter him once or prompt him to avoid interaction completely.
-
4
Be assertive. Looking confident even when you're not is a good way to deter a bully. Walk purposefully with head up, eyes open and fully alert to the surroundings. Confidence can disconcert a bully. He'll wonder what advantages you might have to feed such self-assurance.

5
Tell a teacher or counselor in advance. In other words, tell them ahead of time where a bully likes to do her dirty work. The teacher or other authority figure can make a surprise appearance in that part of the school and catch the bully in the act or foil her plan before it starts.
-
6
Get help. Don't be afraid to tell a teacher or authority that a bully is actively intimidating people at school. The only way they can help is if they know what is going on.
