Becoming a successful public speaker is a very lucrative and satisfying career. Toastmaster speakers are in demand in a lot of business circles and with numerous non-profit organizations. When searching for seasoned speakers, most companies prefer to get Toastmaster's because of their training as speakers and leaders in the community. Learning the correct way to speak, how to articulate, voice fluctuation and body language are some of the fundamental techniques that a person can learn as a Toastmaster. There are hundreds of Toastmaster clubs available worldwide and even a few international clubs.

Find a local Toastmaster's club. Go online to the Toastmaster's website to find a club by zip code. The Toastmaster's organization will even allow you to join multiple clubs if you wish.

Attend a Toastmaster's club meeting to get a feel for how the club is operated. Even though the club models are all the same, every meeting is conducted differently. Sit in on several of the club's meeting to see how they are conducted.
