Coordinate orchids with your wedding colors and you'll have a beautiful bridal basket bouquet to carry down the aisle. Follow these steps to make it yourself.
Buy a container to use for the basket. Use a paper-mache container or something similar. The container can be round or square. Make it the size you want for the bridal bouquet.
Step2
Cut pieces of Equisetum long enough to cover the sides of the container. Use a hot glue gun to adhere the Equisetum pieces around the container, completely covering it.
Step3
Wrap wired vines around the equistrium covered box to add extra support and decoration to the outside of your basket. Secure the vines to the Equisetum using small dots of hot glue.
Step4
Affix a vine handle to the top of the box using the hot glue. Make the handle long enough to fit over the orchids, leaving extra room to hold the basket.
Step5
Put the floral foam piece inside the basket. Glue it to the bottom of the basket for extra stability.
Step6
Fill the aquapics with water and place an orchid in each of them. Put a small amount of floral adhesive on the end of each aquapic and insert it into the foam in the basket. Arrange the flowers to fill the basket.
Tips & Warnings
Use silk orchids instead of real flowers and make the basket ahead of time.
