Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Large apples
  • Cookie sheet or baking tray
  • Apple corer or knife
  • Butter or cooking spray
  • Brown sugar
  • Fillings (such as raisins, dates, coconut or nuts)
  1. Step 1

Remove the core from each apple using an apple corer. If no apple corer is available, carefully cut the core out of the apple with a sharp knife, making sure to keep the rest of the apple intact.

  2. Step 2

Sprinkle the inside of each apple with some brown sugar.

  3. Step 3

Coat a cookie sheet or baking tray with butter or cooking spray, and place the apples on top.

  4. Step 4

Stuff the middle of the apples with your chosen variety of fillings (such as raisins, dates, coconut or nuts), pushing them down firmly.

  5. Step 5

Pour a small amount of warm water onto the cookie sheet or baking tray--just enough to cover the bottom.

  6. Step 6

Bake the apples for 30 to 45 minutes at 350 degrees. Periodically baste the apples with the liquid in the tray.

  7. Step 7

Take the apple plump snacks out of the oven. After the apples have cooled, they are ready to eat and enjoy.
