Many people find flying uncomfortable and filled with stress. Follow these suggestions and you can make that next flight a pleasurable experience.

From Quick Guide: Comfortable Travel
Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Dress in comfortable clothes. When choosing your clothes for the flight, avoid tight pants or anything that will restrict you. Loose pants, dresses, skirts and shirts are going to be the most comfortable to fly in.

  2. Step 2

Take water with you. Water can help when you are feeling dehydrated. When we fly our bodies feel swollen and drinking plenty of water can help decrease this sensation.

  3. Step 3

Avoid taking too many pieces of hand luggage on board the plane. You might find it hard to get down the aisle or difficult to lift everything into the overhead cabin.

  4. Step 4

Enjoy the onboard entertainment. Watch the movies and listen to some music to relax you.

  5. Step 5

Move around the plane. Walk to the bathroom or through the aisle. This will maintain your circulation and prevent your body from going numb.

  6. Step 6

Be prepared! If you suffer from air sickness or motion sickness, take nausea medication with you and a sleeping pill. Motion sickness tablets are great for flying and can calm the stomach. Have any other medications you might need close by.

Tips & Warnings
  • Avoid wearing high heels on a flight when possible. They can hurt the back and feet.
